Last week I was nominated by Marisa Gunn to participate in a blog hop. I was honored that Marisa asked me, thanks Marisa! She is a very talented stamper and she was also part of Stampin' Up!'s 2012-2013 Design Artisan Team! I met Marisa way before our stamping days, like over 20 years ago. In fact if I remember correctly we were both into making jewelry at the time. We reconnected in 2006 at a SU demo meeting. Little did we know we would both be into stamping let along SU demos years later! Like I said she's very talented and you MUST check out our her site. I love how she thinks out of the box and stretches her creativity with Stampin' Up! product! You will for sure be inspired!
There are 4 questions I was asked to answer for the blog hop...
1. What are you working on?
Currently I'm working on a MDS project. I'm making a 2015 CD desk calendar to give out as gifts to family and friends. They will fit into a plastic CD holder. Since I haven't had them printed yet I can't show you the final product but I can show you a few of the mock ups I have done so far. I'll post pictures of the final project when complete. Once I get these done, I need to go back to Project Life albums I'm making for my two nieces and their families as Christmas gifts!
2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I'm not sure if I differ too much from others. My work is normally clean and simple stamping. I like to have at least a layer or two. I also like texture. I like to try out different techniques now and then. I'm pretty much symmetrical in my designs and layouts. Once in awhile tho I may stray from my norm!
3. Why do you create what you do?
Lots of my creativeness is planning for card events I hold in my studio or for stampin' parties that have a hostess. When not creating for these events, I like to create for gifts or myself and just try out some new ideas.
4. How does your creative process work?
Well...that varies! I may be inspired by a project I saw on Pinterest or a blog or even from one of my creative stamping demos I meet with each month or I may have an idea in my head. From there if it's inspired from someone else, I may change up colors or stamps and keep the design or change everything up or case it exactly. Sometimes it ends up completely different from what I was inspired from, then I know the juices are flowing! If I start with an idea in my mind, chances are it will rarely look the way I envisioned it, once I start I usually get other ideas coming in the brain and go from there. I create a BIG mess too! Once in awhile I may have an idea in a dream, lol!
Here is a sneak peak at a new set, Painted Petals, coming out in the Occasions catalog Jan 6. I won the stamp set at the Stampin' Up! Occasion and Sale-A-Bration catalog kick off last week.
Thanks for stopping by! Keep creating!

Thanks Barb for playing along with the Creative Blog Hop! Love the desk calendars and the pretty card. I didn't see that you won that set at the kickoff! Those desk calendars will make great gifts...
