Summer Scrapbook Pages

Here is a double layout I created for a scrapbook class.  The squares are punched out of the Summer Smooches DSP with the Postage Stamp punch .  The flowers are quick and easy to make with layering circle punches and roughing up the edges. Then add an embellishment! To get a closer look, click on the photos.

Daydream Summer

Well summer is officially over and I have lots of pictures that I would like to scrapbook.  I created this scrapbook page for a class. It uses the Daydream Medallions stamp set. I received the stamp set at the Stampin' Up! Convention.  I love the set and it's great for cards and scrapbooks.

A fun simple scrapbook page with summery colors!

Wedding Shower Projects

I was so excited when my friend Mary allowed me to stick my two cents in on her son, Mike and his bride to be, Nicole's wedding shower! BTW, just click on the photos for a larger view.

The colors are elegant eggplant and silver. I knew right away the purse die would be awesome for the favors. I filled them with hershey kisses.

For the centerpieces I combined a few ideas that I saw on Pinterest as well as at Stampin' Ups! convention. I love the way they turned out. They are filled with water and I added a silver floating candle.  Thank God for Facebook, I was able to get all the pics I needed without asking my friend or the couple!  I felt like a stalker, haha!

When I was at Stampin' Ups! convention, Sarah Douglass, presenting awesome jar gift ideas.  You can see them here. I die cut heart shapes using the heart framelits and decorated the jar.  We passed the heart cut out around for people to write a note to the couple.

Finally I created a banner too! I love love love banners!

and here's a close up.

Thanks for stopping by. I have a great time creating these projects for the shower. I'm so glad they loved them too!

Leave me a comment! I'd love to hear your feedback!

Paper Flowers

Thanks for stopping by today!  I have another project to share with you from the Stampin' Up! convention. My girlfriends and I signed up for Carrie Cudney's "I Am A Pattern Mixing Pro" class.  Here is the project we made. So much fun!  Click on the photo to see it larger.

It starts out as a blank canvas, I think its 8x10, we added the First Edition DSP and some acrylic paint. Then comes the flowers.

They are very easy to make. Punch out 4 DSP scallop circles. Fold them in quarters then adhere to a punched out circle for your base.  Adhere to your canvas.  I was suppose to stamp the two flowers using the First Edition DSP but I didn't.  I liked it as is.

The tulip looking flowers were also punched out with the Scallop circle and folded in a tube like shape, glue and then attach to your canvas. We used the Multipurpose Liquid glue.

Add your buttons to embellish. So cute!

My Digital Studio Collage

Recently I was at Stampin' Up! demonstrator meeting and I presented projects using My Digital Studio.  Here is one of the projects I presented.

This year my husband and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I love how quickly this came together. I added some brads from the SAB mini, pearls and rhinestones to add some dimension. Another way to add dimension is by using the shadow tool.

I hope you like the project!

Spring Fever Mini Scrapbook

Last year I attended a stamping event put together by one of my upline, Susan Gardner and another demo, Connie Tumm. One of the projects we made was an adorable mini scrapbook using the Country Club Simply Scrappin' kit.  I recreated the mini book using the Spring Fever Simply Scrappin' kit available in the Occasion Mini through April.  Here are photos of the book. All I need to do is add the photos and then embellish with the self-adhesive die cuts that come with the kit. I love the colors, Designer Series Paper and die cuts in this kit!

I'm offering a class on Friday, May 18 at 7 pm.  As well as a kit to go.  Click here for more information.

See the photos below.  The pages fold up into this adorable book.  Thanks for stopping by!

Quick and Easy My Digital Studio Page

We went on our first Family Cruise in January.  David and I love crusin' so we thought it was time to take the kiddos with us.  We had a blast and plan to do another one!

Here is a quick page I did in My Digital Studio.  The downloads used on this page are from the 30 day trial offer that you can download for FREE here.  You can check out this post with more information on the 30 Day My  Digital Express Trial Offer

I used one of the photo templates as a starting point, made a change with the photo placement and started putting the page together.

12 Months of Dates

I saw an idea on Pinterest which led me to this blog for a Valentines Day gift for my hubby.  So here is what I came up with to house ideas for our 12 Months of Dates.

I sealed an envelope and cut about a 1/4" off the side and then punched1/2 a circle. They are stamped with the Elizabeth A La Carte stamp. I hand wrote the months on each. I used Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers and Designer Series Paper. The pull out is where I wrote what we will do for each date. There are some sites for dating ideas too! My husband liked the idea and I'm excited that we already have our February date on the calendar.

Here is the Valentines Day card I made. I did case this card but can't remember where I got it from. I need to be better at that!
I hope you enjoy some love today!

Grunge Goes White

Stampin' Up! has a great download available called Downtown Grunge Photobook Template.
I love this download and see myself using it for many future pages.  I started to work on scrapbooking our Disney photos from 2009. I wanted to keep the layouts simple, clean and cohesive through out. So, when I saw the Downtown Grunge Templates, I knew this was it!  One of the things about Disney that I like is how colorful it is.  So I decided to remove the paper bag background paper and leave it white. I used the elements in the kit for may pages along with some other embellishments.  I'm going to add the journal notes by hand. To see more Disney layouts go here.

Here is a scrapbook page I made using My Digital Studio.  We had an amusement park called "Kiddie Land" near my home.  It was there for so many years, in fact, I went there as a kid!  Unfortunately, they have torn it down and replaced it with Costco. Although it's nice to have a Costco, but I'd rather have Kiddie Land.  Many wonderful memories there both as a kid and with my kids!

Black Hawks Note Book

My friend, Annie, loves the Black Hawks.  So when her birthday was coming up, I wanted to make a special gift for her.  Patrick Sharp is her favorite player.  So I wanted to tie him in some how with this gift.  She is always making notebooks for people, so I thought I'd make her one!  Here is my notebook transformed into a Patrick Sharp jersey.  I printed a Black Hawks logo and cut it out.  Thanks to my upline Dawn for lending me her dies for the name and number.

A Little Something

Here are a few year end gifts I made for my daughter's teachers.  They are clear boxes decorated with DSP and hand stamped with "A Little Something For You"  this stamp is from a previous SAB set.  I filled the boxes with chocolate.  I then made gift card holders using the scallop envelope die through the Big Shot.  I gave them each a box of chocolate with a Panera gift card.

My daughter Sera is graduating 8th grade and I'm hoping to get her scrapbook some what updated for her party.  Sera likes messing around with the camera and I had asked her for some photos.  This is one of them, I think she said her cousin Jen took the photo.  I love it!

Rock On!

I belong to a Bunco group of 12 ladies. Each month we get together and have a ton of fun playing Bunco. We each have a month to host. February was my month and I had my theme already picked out back in November!  Actually my daughter, Sera, came up with it.  Both my daughters and I love American Idol and started watching it in season 8, so were a little behind, LOL!

So you guess it, American Idol was our theme.  I covered 5 x 7 note pads to give to each guest, personalized with their name. Bunco was a blast as always.  When someone got a Bunco they were to stand a sing a few lines of a song.  I think the ladies all enjoyed themselves.

Have a great day!

Project 52, week 3

I just finished up my week 3 MDS page. For more information on Project 52 go here.

Sera is now 14 years old and will be graduating 8th grade. I can't believe how big my baby is getting! Even though this picture is from Christmas Eve and not actually week 3 in Jan, I still wanted to scrap it.  I really would love to get her scrapbook up to date before her graduation, however, I'll need a miracle, I'm only up to 3 years old!

Enjoy your day!
